Design & Access Statements are requested for applications for
Applications for major development,
Applications for development in a designated area, where the proposed development consists of:one or more dwellings; or a building or buildings with a floor space of 100 square metres or more.
Applications for listed building consent.
However in addition to this, each local authority may have their own requirements based on their individual 'validation checklist'; a list of documents required to be submitted in order to validate incoming applications.
