Householder Planning Applications

Householder Planning Applications are required for homeowners seeking extensions and alterations to their property that do not fall under permitted development.

Typical projects will include:

Extensions at ground and first floor level;

  • Large roof conversions

  • Certain alterations to entrances (driveways)

  • Large porches

  • Outbuildings

  • Basements

  • Your application will require accurate scaled drawings to show your existing property, and a set of drawings to present your proposal.

  • Householder Planning Applications take 8 weeks to determine from the point at which they are registered by the Local Planning Authority.

  • This type of application requires the LPA to invite the public to comment on your proposal. For large or complex householder applications, Rubix encourages pre-application discussions where this may be helpful.
