Planning Statements
A Planning Statement is often a very important document in your planning application.
The purpose of the Planning Statement is to enlighten the Reader as to the application site and context, and how your proposal shall demonstrate compliance with relevant planning policies at both national and local level.
The document is most typically referred to by the Local Authority Planning Department, but also may be viewed by your neighbours and local stakeholders.
A Planning Statement shall incorporate:
Information about the existing site and property
Information about your proposal
Relevant planning policy at national and local level
The impact that the proposal shall have on the site, and whether the proposal shall be able to demonstrate compliance with planning policy
